Real Estate Opportunities

If only one could go back in time, as far as Real Estate prices are concerned. Obviously, we cannot go back in time, but we can expand our horizons and find a new, exciting and different place filled with opulent view estates, raw land, ranches, groves, farmhouses and attractive tract homes. A short drive from South Orange County, the Temecula Valley is a beautiful part of our state framed by mountain ranges. If you are shopping for real estate, in this valley you can nearly double your buying power in comparison with South Orange County. One specific example: A brand new 3600 square foot 2 story home with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and a 3 car garage and a great backyard, was recently purchased for less than $450,000.

A little perspective on what is called the Temecula Valley, located about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego:
The Southern California Railroad linking this valley to a transcontinental route stopped running in 1935. Growth had nearly ceased for the next 50 years until Interstate 15 was built. Explosive development followed. Where farm animals grazed a few years ago, single family homes, stores, restaurants and shopping malls now dot the landscape. Excellent schools add to the quality of life.
Since Real Estate is hyper local, I chose to concentrate on only three cities in this valley: Temecula, Murrieta and Wildomar.

Temecula has a downtown that transfers you back to the 19th Century, with an ambiance that makes you think you are in the Wild West. Starry eyed tourists crowd the sidewalks on weekends. Temecula also has 3500 acres of producing vineyards, as well as avocado groves....

Murrieta sits in a green valley of open spaces, oaks and sycamores. It too has a retro downtown, and plenty of family fun, such as the annual rod run, which attracts over 20,000 people and more than 400 cars. Some of the most beautiful nature trails are found in this town.

Wildomar is no longer the sleepy little town that was an outpost for the Pony Express, a farming community. It has 21st Century housing, but you can still find the friendly farm stand where the prices are low and the quality is high. This town has a relaxed atmosphere.

On a weekly basis, I will keep you posted regarding real estate opportunities in these three towns.
